This year’s golf camp tournament at Fripp Island was a lot of fun for both new and returning golf students. The camp was led by Professional Char Cormier and his staff of Pro’s. Today’s Tournament was a 5 hole points driven challenge at the Ocean Creek course. Several groups of students spread out thru the course to put what they learned all week to good use.

The theme for today’s tournament was “sportsmanship”; which was definitely seen thru the actions and encouragement that each of the golfers showed to one another. After the tournament, Pro Char served up hot pizza and cold sodas to all who participated in today’s tournament.

A special thanks to the parents of the golfers who attended golf camp all week. The kids were “very well behaved, polite and fun to teach”, according to several of the camp Pro’s.

This year’s golf camp was a blast for the students and the pro’s. There were 25 youngsters between the ages of 5 and 12 who spent four days with Fripp’s Golf Pro’s, led by the Director of Golf and Head Professional, Char Cormier.

The students learned about how to grip the golf club and how to swing correctly. Some of the students even had a contest to see who could break a glass window. The last day of golf camp will end with a tournament and pizza party, which is sure to be a blast.
